Gome of the Week
Damn you, Malibu's Most Wanted!
If I have to hear the line "Brad, you're not a rapper" one more time I'm going to spazz out.
This Week's Link That's Probably Not That Great
Russian Wives - If you need to shop around for one, this is the place to go.
This Week's Movie You've Probably Never Seen
Crackers (1984)
Back in the early 80's, Louis Malle was trying to make a movie with John Belushi, but the Belush was too high on coke all the time to get his shit together to make the movie that Malle wanted to.
So instead, he made Crackers. It's supposed to be a comedy, but it's not really funny.
Sean Penn made this right after he made Fast Times and apparently he did it because Malle is famous somewhere or something.
Jack Warden has been in a ton of stuff since this, most notably Dirty Work with Norm MacDonald.
Super.
This Week's Record You're Probably Not Listening To
Faith No More - A Small Victory (1992)
A bizarre remix album (the first one of many that FNM eventually participated in) that shows the electronic side of the band that we never knew they had.
Mostly cool because it's out of print and hard to find and weird as hell.
This Week's Hip New Slang Word or Phrase
Schweppo! - Something to say when something good happens. Kind of like Yahtzee.
Origin - North Carolina
Usage - "Dude, I just beat Donkey Kong Country. It's trump tight."
"Dude, schweppo!"
