Gome of the Week
By now, I figure everyone has read the things Jerry Falwell has said about the tragedy in New York. If you haven't, you can go to jerryfalwell.com (which is not associated with him), click on "Jerry's Lies", and they will fill you in. This guy has got some serious problems. How confused do you have to be to blame something like this on gays? In the words of Dennis Miller, "This guy's so homophobic he blames global warming on the AIDS quilt."

Word up, D.

This Week's Link That's Probably Not That Great
Jump the Shark -Eric B. was listening to a radio program that featured the guys who run this site, and said it sounded pretty funny. We checked it out and it is. The idea here is that they pinpoint exactly when television shows start to suck, or as they put it, "jump the shark".

Remember when Growing Pains brought in that little girl and Leonardo DiCaprio? Ouch.

This Week's Movie You've Probably Never Seen
Baller Blockin' (2000)

This week's featured film is Baller Blockin', starring the Cash Money Millionaires. It's been a while since I sat through this gem, so my memories of it are a little foggy. I do recall that it is extremely funny without trying to be, which I always appreciate.

The movie features Juvenile in his first (and hopefully last) starring role. I still can't figure out which is more painful, sitting through this film or listening to one of his albums. The movie also features Ronald "Slim" Williams, the guy from Friday who is the drunk bum that catches Smokey squatting in the bushes. He must be in some sort of financial trouble, because his is not a coveted role, to say the least.

My brother and I got drunk while we watched this movie, which has got to be the only way to actually make it to the "end" of the movie, at which point they say it's to be continued. They must have run out of funding. Can't wait for the sequel.

This Week's Record You're Probably Not Listening To
Oldominion - One (2000)

We saw these guys open for the GZA a while ago, and we were blown away. It's a gang of like fifteen people from the Tacoma area with a pretty good take on hip hop. They've got a really good female MC who starts the record off and it doesn't stop after that.

This Week's Hip New Slang Word or Phrase
Lobbin' - Used to describe the state of male genetalia that is somewhere between complete flacidity and complete erection.

Origin - C-Dog of the CAC crew.

Usage - "Dude, see that girl in the hot pants and the tube top? She's totally got me lobbin'."
